One Tree Hill 9.5 “The Killing Moon” Review

Viewers had expected to find out what happened to Nathan who went missing at the airport but when the episode concluded, nothing was revealed. Viewers are already aware that Dan purposely burned his diner. What is not clear is if he was telling the truth when he confessed to Haley that he did it just to get nearer to the family. If the man is not telling the truth, that would be really bad of Dan.

Bethany Joy is doing an excellent job portraying Haley the worried wife. Her demeanor clearly showed that she was disturbed because of her missing husband. Haley did not think Dan was telling the truth and that’s why she eventually placed a call to the police to make a report.

Haley may not be absolutely certain that Dan knows something about her missing husband but she was clearly frightened. She did the right thing by calling the police.

In other places on the show, some people actually did what was expected of them. As Haley was busy dealing with her missing husband’s case Quinn cared for Lydia and Jamie, Chris Keller also offered a helping hand to Haley, and Chuck got some assistance from Chase when he really needed it. It was really cute of Chris Keller to have helped Haley and what he did was somewhat unexpected. However it was rather disappointing for him to have treated Chuck the way he did.

It was good to know that Chase was there to support Chuck emotionally, and seeing them playing a game together was quite remarkable.

Overall the episode was an interesting one but the show really has to hurry up and show viewers the direction it intends to take for the remainder of the season. Do you believe Dan knows something about Nathan’s disappearance?
