Eve Hewson is dating James Lafferty of ‘One Tree Hill’ !

Any One Tree Hill fan would already be aware that James Lafferty is seeing Eve Hewson, the daughter of U2’s Bono. This has been one of the hottest gossip topics on many blogs and websites since November last year. Even the British tabloid Daily Mail is following closely on the story.

Wilmington is a small county seat, far from the glitter of Hollywood. So how come it be that Nathan of One Tree Hill ends up dating Bono’s daughter in a small town?

Eve Hewson and James Lafferty

There are several theories buzzing on the internet on how they came to be together but the most plausible explanation seems to be coming from a film reporter located in Wilmington.

She says James Lafferty has been in living in Wilmington since 2003, when One Tree Hill began. Then, in 2007, Eve came to the town to shoot The 27 Club; a movie produced, written and directed by Erica Dunton.

There they might have come in contact, she says, either through their mutual friends or at a shooting site.

If that theory is true it means the couple has already been in a relationship for more than two years.

According to some unofficial blogs, both were recently seen caressing each other at a Wakey!Wakey!; the band often featured on One Tree Hill.

So what should be made from this? Nothing. It is just another instance of an affair between two celebrities and the only people to whom it matters most are either fans of One Tree Hill or the residents of Wilmington.

The two met through their mutual friend, David Emrich, @SpookyGarlic on Twitter. Him and Eve co-starred in The 27 Club, he played “Three Words”. David was James’ stand in on One Tree Hill before that, and David set them up and they supposedly hit it off from there. They’ve been seeing each other for years, which to be truthful irks me since she’s just nineteen and I know he visited her in Dublin in 2008, but oh well.
