But the show that dominated the 8-10pm time slot for Wednesday was Fox’s ‘American Idol‘ with a 4.7 rating and 16.7 million viewers. NBC had ‘Off Their Rockers’ for the 8pm slot and had 7.2 million viewers with a rating of 1.8. It was down from its January pilot ratings but still high on NBC 8pm slot. But ‘Best Friends Forever‘ that came immediately afterwards had only 3.9 million viewers with a rating of 1.2. The 8:30pm time slot was its season’s premiere.

‘Bent’ got 2.4 million viewers with a rating of 0.9 and its second episode got 2 million viewers with a rating of 0.7 and ‘Rock Center with Brian Williams’ got a 0.7 rating with 3 million viewers.

ABC’s ‘Happy Endings‘ had a low of 3.7 million viewers. It was their season’s finale but was lower than last week’s episode. It had a rating of 1.6. In CBS, ‘Survivor’ got a 2.7 rating with 10.1 million viewers while criminal minds got 11.2 million viewers with a 3.0 rating. This was a drop for the show but ‘CSI’ climbed to 11.9 million viewers and a rating of 2.9 at the 10pm slot.

Fans got to see how they started out as kids in this town and things have indeed come full circle. Now they have kids of their own and one thing about this show is that they learned from both their takes and that of their parents. ‘One Tree Hill’ was filled with adults with one issue or the other and a good case in point was Dan Scot. But they seemed like they have found something to pass on to the next generation of One Tree Hill kids that would leave them inspired.

Did it sound overly happy? After nine seasons of some intense drama including a sordid kidnapping that was just resolved a few weeks back, it would have probably been cruel if the writers came up with something different. And it was not as if things would be all peachy but fans could see that the characters were all giving a solid ground to stand upon and they watched them walk into the sunset. And you can just tell that whatever comes their way they would surmount it.

The bigger picture was to celebrate the show and give fans something to be nostalgic about. But they made sure that they tied every loose end as it had to do with each character and this was a good way to go because they had all seen their fair share of drama through out the years. This was what happened with Nathan and Haley as the show took fans back to the beginning before projecting into the future again to Jamie’s basketball game.

Brooke too finally got some closure too with her parents being there for her. She is arguably the center of ‘One Tree Hill’ universe. And she now has her company to run but rather than it being inside the Cafe it has its office across the street. It was the home she grew up in.

Logan was adopted by Clay and Quinn who got married and Chris got his break by signing a recording deal. Chase also became the owner of Tric which was a personal milestone for him. But it was Nathan, Haley and Brooke’s stories that carried much more weight because of how they were in the show.

Mouth got a half a million dollars inheritance from Scot and he used some to set up a scholarship. That was influenced by Jimmy who fans really did not have enough time to get to know but the flashback to those moments were excellent. And the club Tric was celebrating its tenth year anniversary with the new owner. That was a nice touch. The song ‘I Don’t Want to Be’ was redone by DeGraw and everybody joined in. That was one sad moment as the song did a lot for the show. This series finale was one episode to remember.

In the final chapter of One Tree Hill, the tenth anniversary of Tric brings old faces and new possibilities for the Tree Hill family.

Galeotti revealed the news of her divorce on her blog saying that she had done this in order to explain why she would start her maiden name. She is quoted to have stated that the only reason she has chosen to say anything about the matter is because; people would start asking why she was calling herself Bethany Joy Lenz again. She added that she feels humbled and grateful that all things work for good for those that love God.

One Tree Hill is now airing its final season.

This is the last season of ‘One Tree Hill’ but fans of Bush won’t have to wait for long to see her on television again as she has been cast to play in a new series from CBS that is titled ‘Partners’ she will be joined in the new show by Michael Urie. The show comes from the creators of ‘Will and Grace’.

An episode of ‘One Tree Hill‘ which was directed by Bush titled ‘Anyone Who had a Heart’ will be aired after the episode titled ‘Danny Boy’ which will be aired next.

As Haley prepares to emcee the annual Tree Hill Burning Boat Festival, Brooke uses the opportunity to process her father’s betrayal, while Julian tries to breathe new life into a past idea.

Mouth and Millie make a change to their morning show, and Clay and Quinn get ready for Logan’s first night at the beach house.

But despite all of this, when someone he cared for was in eminent danger, he is more than willing to do his best even risking his own life in order to save him. Like when he saved Scott. And on this episode we got to know more about his trip in life these past 9 years. And we got this knowledge by either going in flashbacks in the past, or through spoken words. And to say the truth, it’s no wonder how he became the man he is, it was an emotional filled history. This what made this episode of One Tree Hill “Danny Boy” so amazing.

And Dan knew how bad is his history and all the wrong things he did, and we see him doing his best trying to make things right, such as trying to build a strong relation with Jamie. And we even saw him sacrifice his own life in order to save his beloved son. And we also felt how regretful he was about all the bad things he done, which was apparent when he was saying sorry to Haley about everything, it was very clear on his facial impressions.

But it seems that no matter how hard he tries, in front of himself he still can’t forgive him own self, especially for what he did for his family and brother, heck, to even the whole town back in the third season. It was very clear in his discussion on the hallucinated River Court, as it seems that the feelings of guilt will never go away, even after Keith’s ghost forgave him, he was still pretty sure that he will end up being in hell for all the bad things he committed.

As for Nathan, we got to see him finally go home, and finally out of the very bad story line that involved him and the European mobsters, and seeing him finally reunite with Naley was also very nice and interesting to watch, as Haley was walking around the hospital, which lead to another great scene, the scene when they quietly greeted each other and then the very loud emotion filled hug, because both of them had to face so much, especially how they would co op with the death of Dan. Nathan doesn’t know in what way to remember his father while Haley chosen to let his positive legacy stay through.

All in all it was great episode, filled with emotions and sacrifices, mainly Dan’s, defiantly one of the good episodes of One Tree Hill.

The search for Nathan becomes even more dangerous, and Dan barely clings to life after his rescue mission. To Brooke’s surprise, her father returns to town, and Clay and Quinn reconnect with Logan.

After about nine episodes of constant melodramatic acting, that is after the kidnapping of Nathan, the last episode was a joy to watch. It featured the rescue mission of Nathan, and it proved to the audience why it still remains famous after 9 long years. The best one so far of the lot; it can also be termed as epic in the complete small screen history.

The expectations were high and running because it was always going to be Dan Scott to the rescue. He had been waiting for a revival in his role in the series, and he does a very good job of it with both of his hands tied. That is the calmness Dan brings on screen with him.

The highlights are as follows:

The first blow arrives from Chris; he shoves a big man into the wall, and then the man of the moment, Dan walks in, and just runs through all the baddies in a go. There is not only action, but drama also has been squeezed in a little measure in between the scenes. It comes as an emotional balm to the drama lovers. Nathan is rescued, and is replaced by another guy; the easier part done, and the difficult part was yet to come. They had to escape the building safe and fast. In an attempt to save Nathan from Dimitri, Chris takes the bullet aimed at Nathan on himself, and we don’t know what the outcome is going to be as Dan is still battling it out. There are many other subplots too in this series, but only the plot involving Dan turns interesting; the rest were just dead rubbers. While we have an unexpected call to Haley as ending, but the conversation has just started, and we will come to know in the next episode what it is all about. Is it Nathan? Can be; so, gear yourself with some tissues the next time you sit around to watch it.

With Nathan still in trouble, Dan, Chris Keller, and Julian go on a rescue mission. Brooke’s situation with Xavier becomes more intense, and Clay and Quinn revisit the past.
