Nathan Scott (James Lafferty)
Nathan is the youngest son of Deb and Dan Scott. He was also the star of Tree Hill Ravens basketball team. His father was the biggest basketball star in Tree Hill during his time, so the pressure of proving himself to his father’s standard was sometimes overwhelming for him. He was threatened when Lucas joined the team, that’s why he made life difficult for him. He later fell in love with Lucas’ best friend, Haley James, and this became the key of him and Lucas’ relationship being better. He eventually married Haley James and they had a son named James Lucas Scott and later a daughter named Lydia Bob Scott.

Nathan went on to play college basketball and was set to be drafted for Seattle Sonics, when at the pre draft celebration; he got involved in a fight which had him paralyzed, shattering his NBA dream. He later trained again to make his comeback, but his injury prevented him to play like he used to, so he became an agent instead.
James Lafferty portrays the role of Nathan Scott. James was born on July 25, 1985 in Hemet, California. He attended Hemet High School and enrolled at California State University before being cast as Nathan. He appeared on several TV series including Emeril, Boston Public and Once and Again. He was nominated in Teen Choice Award for Choice Breakout TV Star-Male, and Scene Stealer-Male and Choice TV Chemistry.
